Actually, I still think about it very often.

A little review may be allowed. It is not every day that an Austrian crosses the finish line first in a Tour de France stage. I am only the third Austrian who can be happy about such a success.

2022 should be another successful year for me and my team. I will ride more offensively to win stages without losing sight of the team goals. In my hometown Eisenstadt I could recharge my batteries and prepare very well for the new season. Eisenstadt has a great infrastructure that not only benefits me as a professional athlete, but also the grass root sports scene and especially the children. 2022 is the Year of Sport in Eisenstadt. It is therefore a special honor for me to represent my adopted hometown of Eisenstadt as a sports ambassador starting this year. Especially in times of the pandemic, Eisenstadt is sending an important signal to encourage children to exercise even more. It is a fantastic appreciation for me to support the city and to make my contribution.
